Ten Tips on Basics of Blogging
Blogging is an art that comes with hard work and practice. A successful blogger have sufficient amount of reader community and he or she can earn good sum of money from the ads or affiliate links shown. But it is too early to think about making money from a blog if you are new in blogging. Spend some time in research at others work and follow the routine of a successful blogger to get the idea to follow. At least 5 months older blogs are considered for Google ads. Likewise, your knowledge and expertise will matter to the readers when you write about a product or recommend a link. So a well researched and well worked post is more profitable then just making many posts with nothing special to the readers. So we can name it as “Credibility of a blog” or it’s the weight of blog in the eyes of its reader community.
- Decide a niche to write or blog at. Your hobbies, expertise, academic or professional subjects are best to blog about.
- Good content is the key for a successful blog. Research for info or content available on the topic so that to be able to provide valuable content. Write at least 400 to 500 words post.
- Try to get the reader perspective, for example what will reader like to get when he come to know about the topic you just blogged.
- Make the headings or titles according to the search terms; get those which are used by people while searching on a topic. Titles like How to, Tips, Best practices, avoid, help etc are popular.
- List your keywords at the beginning; use them throughout your posts to be able to make a ranking for them in the search engines. But do not over use them. Like here we have, blogs, blogging, blogger, money with blogging, how to blog, earn money with blogging.
- Readers demand everything neat and clean and well worked at free of cost. So try to provide as much as you can. Make a nice design and layout with useful tools or widgets.
- Boost your reader to comment on your work and make a friendly environment.
- Post regularly, get some friends to be guest blogger when you are out of work. You can do it by posting guest entries on their blogs and get for yours when needed.
- Be an active member of relevant forums, blogger community, sign for newsletters etc to get some friend circle and awareness of what is happening around.
- To make your posts more useful, provide links to more information from Wikipedia and other useful directories. You can also add links from other useful blogs and may have some link trade.
